“The Nexus War will be one of the major highlights in the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion for Blizzard's World of Warcraft. This major campaign will feature several new instanced dungeons and a chance to go head-to-head against Malygos, the fearsome blue Dragon Aspect. Maddened by grief after the slaughtering of the blue flight ten millennia ago, Malygos only recently returned to his senses and once again took up his place as the guardian of magic. Unfortunately, after deeming the dangerous development of magic on Azeroth, Malygos blamed the reckless pursuit of magical power on all the mortal races and declared war on them. Malygos was determined to rein in all the magical power using the Arcanomicon to redirect all magic through the Azeroth's ley lines and into his home base in Northrend, the Nexus. In his wake, the subsequent channeling of magic threatens rip the very fabric of the magical dimension. However, this has not gone unnoticed by the rest of the world. The Kirin Tor, the elite magi of Dalaran, have sworn to fight the blue Dragon Aspect and has recently fielded all their resources into confronting Malygos and the blue dragonflight. United beside the Kirin Tor is the red dragonflight, charged with the preservation of life. The eventual battle that will ensue will surely change the fate of Azeroth as we know it. You're free to make your bets on who's going to know, because we know it's going to be one heck of a fight. For more information as well as a short trailer on the upcoming Nexus dungeons, you can read all about it on the source link that we've provided below. After an extended period of run time, Patch 2.4.2 is finally available for World of Warcraft. European realms will also get Patch 2.4.2 tomorrow, after an extended maintenance that will cause downtime from 3 a.m.

to 11 a.m. CEST. Version 2.4 is likely to be the last major patch to be applied before Wrath of the Lich King becomes available, as evidenced by the barrage of news we're getting on the expansion lately. We'll update you on more on that as news comes in. ” “Every week, computer security expert Jon Eldridge is your Azeroth Security Advisor. He will delve into the darkest reaches of computer security rumor and bring the facts back home even if they're wriggling at the end of a pike. His goal is to provide useful information to gamers who don't think about security much and flame fodder for those self appointed experts who need to rationalize the cost of their expensive certifications. Like any good security force he's a mercenary at heart and is happy to take subject requests from the user community that he serves. wow gold So feel free to leave a comment below or just sit back and enjoy the show. If you play World of Warcraft you agreed to the Terms of Use Agreement and End User License Agreement even if you don't know it. If you're like most gamers you “”agreed”" with all the forethought and consideration of a lab rat agreeing to run a maze in exchange for a yummy pellet of rat chow. Scurry, scurry, click, click… wow gold yum! Let's face it, when you're just two clicks away from playing the hottest MMORPG on the planet those screens usually go by just as fast as they appear. But what else besides deep fat fried MMO goodness is contained within the WoW client you're running. One of things you agreed to while merrily clearing those pesky EULA and Terms of Use screens after every patch is that Blizzard “”MAY”" monitor your PC's RAM and CPU processes for “”unauthorized”" 3rd party programs that by Blizzard's “”sole determination”" may or may not be deemed naughty.
mp3 Naughty in this case includes but is not limited to teleporting, data mining, exploiting bugs, facilitating bots and generally doing an end run around the game mechanics for fun and profit. In reality the WoW.exe DOES monitor your system, silently, thoroughly, and every 15 seconds. Some of you know about the hype and controversy that occurred in 2005 around the claim that Blizzard had bundled spyware within the WoW client. I didn't until a few days ago when I decided to investigate the rumor. wow gold After digesting hundreds of chat/flame posts, reading up on Blizzard's legal activity and even managing to uncover a fact or two I'm here to uphold the three pillars of online journalism, stimulate, educate, and aggravate. Blizzard keeps track of the hardware and software running on your PC in three ways that I could find. wow gold The first is a periodic system survey. buy wow gold You may occasionally notice a spooky little message like “”Sending non-identifiable personal information”" during the handshake process while logging in. Blizzard assures the user community that this is a hardware survey that helps their development team optimize patches and “”future games”". The survey logs information about your CPU, RAM, OS, video, audio, HD/CD/DVD and internet connection. “

“All right, we all know that one day the sun will eventually become expand beyond its capacities, become a supernova and burn the Earth into nothingness. But did it have to occur while Tamamunch of Dragonblight-EU was enjoying a big hunk of cheese. (Actually, Tama was just enjoying a snack in Shadowmoon Valley before being hit by a meteor.)At least, I think that's cheese. It's larger than her head. Considering how many times the average Azerothian adventurer eats today, and that the most popular foods are meat, milk, alcoholic beverages, and magically conjured items that are probably filled with radiation, why do none of our characters ever develop coronary artery disease. Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder. We'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wowinsider.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next! Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We prefer full screen shots without the UI showing. And please, no more sunsets, unless they've fallen to earth and are slowly burning a hole through your apartment ceiling. Blizzard recognizes that not everybody has full control over the computer they play on or is fully aware of all the programs running on their computer so they built in a safeguard. “”We've often found that players whose account information had been compromised by a Trojan program or whose World of Warcraft accounts were banned for using a third-party cheat program while playing were unaware that these programs existed on the computer they used to play the game.”" Blizzard has banned thousands of players from WoW for various reasons since launch. Any attempt to minimize the collateral damage caused by the constant cat and mouse security game going on behind the scenes should be applauded.

Use of the launcher is not compulsory though and you can access the main login screen directly via WoW.exe located in the World of Warcraft program folder. So far so good but Blizzard didn't get this far without a (m)ace up their sleeve. Tune in next week for all the trauma and drama caused by the discovery of Blizzard's ultimate boss mob… wow gold the Warden. Cue thunderclap and scary music. ” “Each week or so, Robin Torres writes WoW, Casually for the player who has 2 hours or less to play at a time. You may have noticed that there has been quite a bit of news about Wrath of the Lich King lately. In that news, there are some very wonderful things in store for those of us with limited playtime. wow gold There is also a lot of resentment because of that from some of the players. In this column, I'll be discussing what we casuals have to look forward to in the next expansion and I'll be defending what is essentially our right to participate in the WoW lore and endgame. What I won't be discussing, like I used to, are the casual friendly events in the schedule. If you look in the right hand column of this page, you'll see a great calendar of Upcoming Events. wow power leveling So check there for the latest Call to Arms weekends, Holiday events and It came from the Blog activities. The game does have some inconveniences and unpleasant side effects due to a group of players, but it's not the casuals. It's the cheaters. mp3 players Arena cheaters and Gold buyers are the ones causing us to have less fun in our favorite hobby. Win Trading and the point/team buyers and sellers are turning Arena into a Gold competition instead of the best of team PvP.
People who buy Gold are not only causing our cities to be filled with spammers, but also are dumbing down the game to be nothing more than a virtual credit card swipe. friend wow gold Casual players are actually playing the game. We may be roleplaying or bringing up multiple alts or soloing to 70 or PvPing — but we are playing. I think the changes will be great for all players from the hardcore raider to the weekend casual. wow gold There is something for everybody. We all deserve a great game and it looks like we're going to get one. ” “Our good friends at Joystiq are passing out the cigars today — the newest site in the Joystiq network (which WoW Insider is a part of, within Weblogs, Inc., which is a division of AOL) is called Big Download, is in beta, and is open right now for your browsing and file grabbing pleasure.

“This last week on the WoW Insider Show, which is now available for listening on WoW Radio, we celebrated Mother's Day by inviting on both Amanda Dean, and her mother Linda Emrys, who is herself a WoW player. We also had Robin Torres on, who not only writes for us here at WoW Insider, but also is the mother of a two-and-a-half year old. Turpster and I were both on, but we didn't do much more than ask questions this time around — the ladies got in some good discussion about what it's like to play WoW as a mother, how this game might actually help you raise children, and what it's like coming to WoW as someone who doesn't have a lot of gaming experience. If you're a casual gamer (or just know someone who is), the show should be really interesting to you. And even if not, we were able to squeeze some great Wrath of the Lich King discussion in there after all of Friday's revelations, including what's up with the Death Knights, how 10/25 man raiding will change, and all of the other zone information we heard on Friday, from Dragonblight to Grizzly Hills to how what we see in the Borean Tundra gives us clues about what the next expansion might be. I thought it was a pretty good show, but if you have other opinions (or any opinions, really), feel free to share them by emailing us at theshow@wowinsider.com. And don't forget that while you can listen to the show either in WoW Radio's archives or on iTunes, you can also hear us live every Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm EST/8:30pm GMT. Hope your Mother's Day was excellent, and enjoy the podcast! because during the live show, they play music too. the break isn't 2 minutes, its around 10 minutes or so.

when they go back and remix it for the .mp3 download, they take out the music. ” “Fresh from the Wall Street Journal comes some news from Dell: They're phasing out much of their XPS gaming line, including their Warcraft laptops. You might remember the Dell XPS M1730 from our giveaway contest, hand-ons analysis and reviews back when it first hit the market. According to the article, the phaseout begins next month, so if you've been thinking about getting one of these bad boys, you'd better act fast. The website still doesn't mention anything about the phase out, but it seems likely it'll be pulled soon. the $2999 price tag still seems a bit steep to me, but it's probably better than than the initial $4500 price tag, and better than the price that would probably be asked for any versions that might appear on various auction sites once Dell officially discontinues it. We don't know for sure if the Laptop sold well, since Dell doesn't release sales information, but according to the article, the main object of this phase-out is to bolster the flagging Alienware line, which has lost much of it's luster since being purchased by Dell. Whatever the reason, the laptop is going bye-bye, so if you want it, go and get it. But you better hurry, because it may not last. wow gold I play wow on the Macbook Pro that I got for under $2000 and it plays perfectly. I easily get over 60 fps and over 120 latency. Well enough for me to enjoy the game without spending 3 to 4 grandYea, all I know though is that I the machine I had before I got my pro gave me like 11fps and some awful latency. wow gold I probably would be happy with anything after that lol Keep in mind that Dell's level of customer satisfaction and appeal has fallen through the floor over the last few years.
They are *desperate* to come up with something to attract new customers, so they're flailing around like idiots, trying to come up with some new money-making scheme. Personally, I think that they should just stop relying on Mahmoud, Aziz, and all the other cheap half-assed support staff they hired overseas, and get back to making a good product with good service, domestically. ” “I think there are few things more disturbing in the modern world than ill-conceived notions of racial, religious, and sexual divisions. wow For some reason parts of humanity continue to believe that just because one group or another looks and/or acts differently, they are bad. One of the reasons I enjoy WoW and just games in general is because it allows us to escape the problems this world gives to us, even if only for a few hours a week. Unfortunately, some people find it necessary to bring their attitudes in game. We've covered some of this before, from border-line inappropriate arena names to sexism in WoW. wow gold However while playing an arena game recently fellow writer Amanda Dean came up against a team named “”Rosa Parks Stole My Seat,”" and this name is possibly the most offensive one I've seen. Rosa Parks (for those of you who need a history lesson) refused to go to the back of a bus because of her skin color and continued to sit in the white only section of the bus, despite being told to do otherwise. She represented a key moment in the history of civil rights. There are 65 arena teams with this racist name. When Amanda ran into one of the teams she reported it via a GM ticket. The GM escalated the ticket, which I'm sure was the right action on the part of the GM. mp3 player However as is usually the case we don't, and won't, know exactly what happened to the offending team. This is due to privacy policies Blizzard has in place. What we do know however is that there are plenty of other teams out there that have this and other racist names. wow gold Furthermore, the team that Amanda reported is still listed in the armory (as of 11:30 p.m. on the evening on May 12th). “

“Blizzard's Rob Pardo, Senior Vice President of Game Design, has been recruited to keynote the Paris GDC this summer, which will take place on June 23rd and 24th at the at the Coeur Défense Convention Centre in Paris. He'll participate in a Q&A session in which he will discuss his inspirations and challenges, as well as Blizzard's future plans. The official press release should appear soon on the Paris GDC site. The Paris GDC will be taking place a few days before Blizzard's World Wide Invitational in the same city. We're expecting a lot of choice WoTLK news to drop there, but certainly, Pardo may say something juicy ahead of time at the Paris GDC, and we'll be sure to find out if he does. The writers had a discussion last night about this name, and it was brought up that people have these names on mainly defunct teams – which appears to be true. They have them there so they can “”be cool”" with their racist friends and have something that produces a lot of shock value. People rarely see these teams in action, so the problem goes by unnoticed. Except for the teams that are sitting at a high rating, such as the 2153 rating team from the Dethecus server. Or the team that played 344 games so far this season. It strikes me as deplorable that people would see this and turn a blind eye to it. Do we not all have a moral imperative to end racism, or any other isms, when we see them. Especially if the solution is as easy as filing a GM ticket. Please try to do your part and keep this game free of such trash. If you see things like this, report it to the GMs. ” “Not that it was happening, but rather that it added a really strange sound effect to my Bloodrage and Berserker Rage abilities.

My wife described it as sounding like the mutant offspring of an orc and a murloc howling in anguish, and she's not far off. wow gold After a while I realized I recognized the sound as being the same one that plays when Horde shamans use Bloodlust. Now, I don't know why, but while I accept the sound when it comes out of an orc, I have a really hard time hearing it when my human pops bloodrage… which he does a lot, since you know, needs more rage and all. wow gold This is reminiscent of the previous patch with the unexpected change to Whirlwind (also a sound effect change) and it makes me wonder every time if I just wasn't listening or if it's an actual change. Furthermore, it always makes me stop and think about just how much development work goes on for things like new music in inns, new sound effects, a new pet model… these things all add up and it's a lot of work if you stop and think about it. Have you noticed any other changes, undocumented or just stuff you didn't really think about. cheap wow gold Has anyone figured out which main-hands are now one-hand. I kept reading “”most”" main-hands would change. I'm still wondering if 31 points in enhancement could allow shamans to dual wield spell damage and/or healing Assuming that it wouldn't be worth doing for elemental or resto shamans, it would be a nice little buff to enhancement shamans who occasionally have to off heal. wow gold Since weapons can be switched in battle, popping in two +healing weapons could up +healing by over 1000 given the right pair. It would also be nice for enhancement shamans that find themselves in a situation that is rough on melee as a couple of spell damage weapons could really beef up their lightning bolts. ” “Everyone in the raid needs to learn how to do ghosts, even the main tank — you might be DPSing one day! Getting it right comes faster to some people than others, so have patience on those who make mistakes..
at first. Someone who consistently cannot perform the task of killing their constructs is a liability and shouldn't be in the raid for this boss. mp3 players This is really the first taste of personal accountability a lot of people have, other than simply running away from things, and it can be very stressful — so raid leaders have a challenge in how they deal with underperforming players. However, this sort of accountability crops up later in other fights and is a theme in Sunwell too, so it's worth getting used to. Firstly, ensure you're in the right spot for ghosts. Depending where your raid positions itself, this will either be on the platform where Teron initially stands or by the door where you enter the room — whichever it is, you'll need as much distance as possible between yourself and the raid so you have time to kill your constructs. wow gold Move out of the raid when your debuff reaches around 25 seconds remaining, keep yourself alive until it wears off and get ready for the ghost phase. As soon as you become a ghost you need to act swiftly. You gain a pet bar which allows you to use the ghost's abilities; ensure before the pull that you have a functioning pet bar in your UI, or, if your bar mod replaces your action bar with the pet bar, that it works.
